Tattoo Artist & Master Leather Craftsman

Javier Martell

Javier has been a professional tattoo artist since 2002, dedicating more than two decades to creating meaningful, lasting work on skin. Known for his precision, detail, and timeless artistry, his portfolio spans black & grey realism, bold custom designs, and traditional tattooing. For Javier, tattooing is more than a career—it’s a lifelong passion rooted in respect for the craft and the stories his clients carry. Each design is thoughtfully created to ensure clients leave with artwork they can wear proudly for years to come.

Beyond tattooing, Javier is also an accomplished leather worker and custom cowboy boot maker. What began in his garage with his wife grew into a recognized workshop, where he refined his skills in leather craft. Determined to preserve tradition, Javier invested in learning the heritage of true bootmaking, sending one of his employees to apprentice under a legendary boot maker, and later mastering the craft himself.

Today, he operates a dedicated custom boot shop, where every pair is built entirely by hand—the traditional way. Each client is measured with precision, from foot impressions and castings to fully custom lasts, ensuring a flawless fit. His workshop also produces handcrafted handbags, belts, wallets, jackets, loafers, and dress shoes, often made with rare and exotic leathers.

Javier’s craftsmanship has been trusted by everyday clients and public figures alike, including country music artists, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo and First Lady Donna Lombardo, and entrepreneur Robert Bigelow, among many others.

Whether working with ink or leather, Javier’s philosophy is the same: combine tradition with innovation, respect the material, and create pieces of lasting value. His commitment to artistry, professionalism, and authenticity continues to define both his tattoo work and his legacy as a craftsman.
